Start10 is specifically designed for Windows 10, so it's not a minimum requirement. ..it's an absolute.  You will need Windows 10 ....

Sorry to hear you are having issues.  Need more information.

1) Windows 10 version, please use Winver.exe for full version numbers.

2) Start10 version you are trying to installed.

3) Systems details, such as CPU Intel, AMD or ARM, antivirus/security software installed?

thank you Basj, your kind response encourages me. All is well now; I decided to get rid of all the repeated  installer downloads I had collected and then saw there was a different message that had come down as well. It was a bit confusing for an old lady like me, but that also had a download link and using that got me where I needed to go. Thankyou
